Privacy Policy

How GAAB UK handles information provided through its public website and enquiry service.

Effective date: 22 July 2026

This operational policy should be reviewed by GAAB UK’s legal or data-protection adviser before production launch.

Who is responsible for your information

Globeon Accreditation & Assessment Body (GAAB) UK is responsible for personal information collected through this website. Questions or data requests can be sent to learning@gaabuk.co.uk.

Information we collect

When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, optional phone or WhatsApp number, enquiry type, programme preference, preferred delivery mode, message, consent record, source page and limited campaign attribution. We retain a one-way hash rather than the raw IP address for spam and rate-limit controls.

Why we use it

  • To respond to programme, accreditation, assessment and general enquiries.
  • To assign and manage follow-up work within the GAAB UK team.
  • To send acknowledgement and service-related messages.
  • To protect the enquiry service from abuse and maintain an auditable record of staff activity.
  • To meet applicable legal, regulatory and dispute-resolution requirements.

Who receives the information

Access is limited to authorised GAAB UK staff and contracted service providers used for database hosting, authentication, email delivery and security verification. Providers may process information only to deliver those services. GAAB UK does not sell enquiry information.

Retention

Website enquiry records are assigned a default retention period of 24 months. Closed enquiries are deleted after their retention deadline unless GAAB UK must keep a record for an active enrolment, contract, legal requirement or dispute. Security audit records may be retained separately without unnecessary message content.

Security

GAAB UK uses server-side validation, access-controlled staff accounts, rate limiting, bot protection, audit logging, encrypted connections and restricted database permissions. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may ask GAAB UK to provide, correct or delete your information, or to restrict or object to certain processing where applicable. Include your enquiry reference when possible. GAAB UK may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

International processing and changes

Some contracted technology providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. GAAB UK will use appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards where required. Material policy changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
